Course recordings are adjusted for consistent volume and encoded for the browser. Silence at the beginning or end is shortened; the musical content is kept intact. Cipher also uses peak limiting to control its loudest passages. During play, the game crossfades repeated passes and lowers the music beneath the announcer.
